Mr. Hirata is in charge of investment/sale decisions as a member of the Investment Committee.
He himself runs a small enterprise as a founding family member and the President of Basis Fukuoka Ltd, an operator of Hakata Souvenir by Kikuhira, which is a souvenir shop in Fukuoka Airport.
Prior to succeeding the family-owned business, he worked on M&A advisory services at the Investment Banking division of Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities Co., Ltd for six years.
Previously, he also worked for MUFG Bank Ltd for six years where he was engaged in assessment of liquidated assets as well as corporate sales.
Mr. Hirata received a B.A. in Economics from Seinan Gakuin University.
